Amy is a high achiever with a passion for people. At school Amy
managed to balance ongoing extracurricular involvement as a
musician, leader and soccer player with a commitment to outstanding
academic results.
Richard Timberly from Warehouse Stationery said "We were looking
for a person who had an obvious set of goals for their future, had
a strong desire to achieve these goals and had proven they were
prepared to participate in the community". Amy showed each of
these and throughout the scholarship developed a strong portfolio
of work experience with Warehouse Stationery.
Initially enrolling to become a teacher, Amy made a pivotal
change to Massey University's Bachelor of Science majoring in Human
Nutrition. She states that she felt incredibly supported by her
Mentor Sarah Masson as she made this transition. Amy regards Sarah
as a highlight of her time in the programme.
After an exciting year away in Marlow, England as an Au Pair,
Amy graduated from Massey in 2011. While she aims to embark on a
Masters in Dietetics in the near future, for the time being, Amy is
enjoying work as a personal trainer at Mt Eden gym Bodytech.
