"Anna is a truly extraordinary young woman with a generous
spirit, strong sense of responsibility and determination to rise
above challenges. Anna's ability to succeed at tertiary level is
without question" said Anna's School Principal. Her academic
aptitude saw her top Yr 11 student in 2008. Anna's high goals for
herself academically did not stop her from being a very well
respected Head Girl, as well as tutoring Yr 9 and 10 students in
Mathematics, leading a Writing Group, being Governor of the RBNZ
Monetary Policy Challenge team and participating in MUNA 2009
(Model United Nations Association) and in Debating, despite her
natural tendency for shyness. In 2010, she also gained leadership
experience as a Youth Parliamentarian.
"Apart from being an academically capable young woman Anna
shows many of the values that Fonterra regards as important. She's
committed to her studies, her family, her school community and her
peer group. She will make it happen if she sees the needs or
opportunity" said Phillipa Mandis of the Fonterra Co-operative
Group.
Anna's curiosity of the French Language helped her make the
decision to study conjoint degrees at Victoria University majoring
in French, Economics and Finance.
