Only moving to Christchurch in 2007, from Slovakia, this
outstanding student was named the top academic in her Yr 11.
In 2009 she was awarded NCEA Level 1 with an excellence endorsement
and her results lay in the top 2.6% in the country.
In addition to outstanding academic results, Diana is a
talented sports woman. She has represented not only her school but
also Canterbury as an Under 15 and Under 17 player. She plays
Hockey, Futsal and Volleyball. In 2009 she won the Blazer Award for
Excellence in Sport.
On top of her impressive sporting achievements, Diana has held a
number of leadership positions within school. The Head of the
Sports Department, Christa Clyde, says that "Diana is a student who
you can always rely on, she upholds the values of the school and
her dedication to perfection allows her to succeed."
It is Diana's hope to attend The University of Canterbury and study
Chemistry or Biochemistry. She would love to eventually work as a
Forensic Scientist.
