Strongly recommended for a First Foundation scholarship by her
Principal and teachers at her College, Katasha was described as an
individual 'who has the strength of character not to settle for
less than her best, as well as having the ability to encourage
others in their pursuit of excellence.'
While Katasha achieved excellently at NCEA, particularly in
History, she also displayed talent in other areas of school life.
Katasha participated in a wide range of sports and excelled in
Basketball and Orienteering. Furthermore she was commended for the
intelligence and commitment she brought to the lead role of MacDuff
in the school's Shakespeare production of MacBeth.
Foodstuffs chose Katasha as their Scholar and were greatly
impressed by her all-rounder ability and her willingness to 'give
everything a go'.
With this open and positive attitude, Katasha is giving
Communications a go at AUT. She is currently working towards a
Bachelors degree.
