At school Liz was a willing participant in activities including
the YWCA Auckland Future Leaders Programme, Senior Choir and Niuean
group for the ASB Polynesian Festival. Among the prizes she won at
school, were awards for Diligence and for Christian Service and
Leadership. 'Elizabeth has proven a trustworthy, hard working and
dedicated person to those of us who have been lucky enough to teach
her. Her outlook on life is very much multicultural and I am sure
this contributes to her delightful character, tolerance and
understanding' said her Yr 12 Dean.
In applying for a First Foundation Scholarship 'Liz stood out as
a candidate for this role because she had a very strong interest in
working in the community and was genuinely interested in what we
do. She has a great sense of humour and impressed us with her
attitude and focus,' said Genesis Energy's Richard Gordon.
She is currently studying Applied Science at Unitec and will
graduate in 2012.
