Warrick's integrity and commitment to his family and church
caused him to stand out against his peers. An all-round academic
achiever at school, Warrick was awarded prizes for Engineering,
Japanese, English and Mathematics. In 2007 he took part in the
Australian Mathematics competition and was awarded with High
Distinction. As well as being academically bright, Warrick
consistently looked for ways to 'give back' to his school and
consistently took opportunities to get involved with school life.
In addition to his busy schedule in 2008 he was 3rd in the North
Island Wrestling Championships.
Warrick's outlook also causes him to participate in
community-oriented endeavours. NZI's Human Resources Business
Partners, Neil Carter and Karl Armstrong chose Warrick because: 'We
were impressed with the work he has done outside school to help
those less fortunate in the community - a young man with great
integrity.'
Awarded an Affirmative Kick-Start Scholarship by The Auckland
University Faculty of Engineering in 2010, Warrick is currently
working towards a Bachelor of Engineering.
