This vibrant young lady is incredibly gifted and well versed in Maori Culture. Her talents combined with her passion result in outstanding endeavours.
At Yr 12 she had already achieved NCEA Level 3 Te Reo Maori. Alex represented her school since the beginning of her high school years in Manu Korero and in 2011 was recognised as top female speaker in the senior section. Also in 2011 Alex was named Top Waka Ama team member for Fraser High School and won the Wilcox Cup for the most outstanding senior Maori student. Being fully immersed in the Maori culture, Alex has also tutored and written songs for Primary School Kapa Haka teams. Her songs have placed top in competitions such as Tainui Regionals and Mana Ariki.
Furthermore Alex's academic results stood out, namely passing NCEA Level 1 with an Excellence endorsement in 2011. Tony Egan of Greenlea said of their inaugural First Foundation Scholar, "We see a lot of future potential in Alex. She has a determined and positive approach to everything she does. We are proud to be helping to shape this future leader for New Zealand."
Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Communication Studies from Waikato University and is currently Store Manager with Domino's Pizza. In the past four years Alex has gone from driver to Store manager . She is had many highlights which include managing six stores at one time, being selected for the Domino's mentoring programme, breaking store records, community involvement and training her team.
