HEAD GIRL, 2014
Hinemoa migrated to New Zealand with her family in 2005. She is the second youngest of eight children.
Her year 12 Dean said, " Hinemoa has a wealth of leadership skills - our students will follow her anywhere". Hinemoa was Head Girl.
She is multi-lingual, fluent in her own Tongan language and culture and is a Kapa Haka leader and also studied Te Reo, where she has achieved level 1 and 2 excellent endorsements.
Hinemoa was an outstanding student who applied herself conscientiously to her studies, and this was reflected with overall excellence endorsement at Level 1, 2 and 3.
Hinemoa impressed both the Fletcher Building interviewers from the outset with her warm, personable approach to the interview while also demonstrating a clear vision for her future and her career. Her extra-curricular involvement in local community initiatives showed that she is prepared to go the extra mile to make a difference.
Hinemoa is currently at The University of Auckland studying for a BA, double major in Korean / Theological and Religious Studies. After she has graduated mid year 2018, Hinemoa intends to complete one year at the Epsom Campus and then travel to Korea for more teaching experience
