Keana's year 12 Dean said, " Keana is recognised as a natural and respected leader amongst her peers and the staff at school, an academically talented student and a genuinely amicable person who is very mature in her interactions with others".
She has achieved NCEA level 1 with a merit endorsement and level 2 with an excellence endorsement.
As well as being busy with her studies, she has been a member of the student council, form class representative, peer mentor and plays many sporting codes for her school.
Keana is also active in her community by volunteering for her local Marae, Maori Women's Refuge and at Naku Enei Tamariki.
Keana intends to study law at Victoria University of Wellington to achieve her goal of becoming a family lawyer.
