At school Lisa had shown herself to be a natural leader with a zest for life that was infectious. At the time being awarded her scholarship she was a Sports Captain at Kelston and outside of school, a Youth Councilor for the Waitakere City Council.
Lisa went on to develop a strong relationship with Douglas Pharmaceuticals and accumulated an outstanding profile of work experience through them during the course of her scholarship. Having always been passionate about people, health and wellbeing, she graduated as the top academic and clinical student of her Bachelor of Nursing class at The University of Auckland in 2010. She then went on to complete her postgraduate diploma in Nursing.
In the last two years Lisa has worked in emergency care at Middlemore hospital and working part time as a Clinical Nurse Advisor within Moari Health.
At the end of next year Lisa and her husband plan to go overseas to aid work (this was an orginal goal Lisa had when she apllied for her scholarship).
As well as considering doing her Masters in the future, Lisa and her husband will be opening a coffee Shop in October 2017.
