Youngest of four, Martin was born in Saudi Arabia but has spent time growing in India and now Christchurch. His actions communicate a sincere consideration and appreciation of other people. He is equally dedicated to his family and to future studies at university. Awareness that his parents have worked hard and made sacrifices to give him a good upbringing motivates this young man to be able to give back to them.
With strengths in creativity and science, Martin does well across the board. When asked about success he talked about having a "genuine approach to my work and unquestionable commitment toward helping people in any small way I can." The integrity of his character is further played out in his team spirit in sport. Martin was a particularly strong cricket player and has been Captain for his school first XI team. He was also involved in a number of ways in the community from being an altar server at the Sacred Heart Parish to a volunteer leader at YMCA Holiday Programmes.
Martin completed an BA end of 2016 from the University of Canterbury with a double major in Human Services and indigenous Studies. In 2017 he is completing a honours year in Human Services.
