Moana Noa comes from a family of five siblings and has the support of a large extended family to help her achieve her desire of "pursuing higher education for the benefit of myself, my whanau and my wider community". She intends to study for a Bachelor's Degree in Education, specialising in primary school teaching and will the first in her family to attend University.
Moana Noa has maintained a very good academic record throughout her schooling along with superb attendance. She is respected by her peers and is friendly, outgoing, positive and relates well with the school staff.
She strongly values her culture and is cuurently a Kapa Haka group leader.
Outside of school Moana Noa also shows strong leadership; being selected to sit on the Papakura Youth council, Maori Warden Cadet and a volunteer leader of Youthpride in the holidays.
