While she was Head Girl in 2013, Nive developed her own leadership style with a "can do "attitude. She was a positive role model for her cohort.
Over the years she has engaged in a wide range of activities; one being a member of the 2013 Pacific Health Council which promoted key health programmes within the school, encouraging students to make wise choices towards a healthy lifestyle and also work experience at the ADHD She was also leader of the Samoan Culture group, actively involved in school and community, played rugby league and a winner of Spirit of Adventure trust award, and a Kiwana speech contest award winner.
Margaret Dotchin, Chief Nursing Officer, Auckland District Health Board said "Nive has proven herself already as a leader in her school and community approaching these roles with passion and humility. Through her application Nive demonstrated to us the values, the compassion, the enthusiasm and leadership which will stand her in great stead to be a caring nurse and successful in her nursing career pathway".
Nive is currently in her first year of a Bachelor of Nursing at AUT University.
