HEAD BOY, 2014
Saumani is the eldest of six boys and also the eldest grandchild and wants to be a great role model for all of them.
Glenda Koeford, Deputy Principal, describes Saumani as "an outgoing leader who inspires confidence in others and speaks with maturity that belies his years". He is currently Head Boy.
As well as receiving awards for academic achievement; year 11 Dux and year 12 Proxime Accessit, he has also achieved on the rugby field, gaining awards, captaining teams and representing the Auckland South region.
Jo Mason from NZI stated, " This young man's drive and determination to succeed were standout. He is a fantastic role model to the younger people around him and he always thinks about the impression he is having. Saumani is an extremely humble, respectful and likeable person who has a passion for rugby. We believe it is this passion that will take him far in life".
Saumani wishes to study History and Law at the University of Auckland in 2015.
