New-Zealand born Samoan Sepulona is the eldest of three siblings. 'I believe that hard work pays off and that in order for someone to be successful in life, determination and ambition are two important factors needed to be a strong achiever,' wrote Sepulona in his First Foundation application letter. Sepulona is a young man with a lot of potential for success and the personal qualities to match; dedication, determination and an ongoing thirst for challenge and new knowledge.
At school, Sepulona's strengths were in Mathematics, Accounting and Business Studies. Sepulona achieved NCEA Level 1 with Excellence and has set himself the goal of maintaining these high grades throughout his final two years of high school. Sepulona's passion for Rugby lead him to play for the second-fifteen Rugby team and into leadership roles within this team.
For such a young man, his portfolio of community service was impressive and includes serving through the De La Salle Youth Group, supervising the Yr 7 and 8 homework centre, and Habitat for Humanity in Otara. Fletcher Aluminium specifically noted Sepulona as an honest and humble character.
Sepulona is currently studing for a Bachelor of Commerce at The University of Auckland Business School.
